It's an incredible story, we've actually had the founders here at foxy originals. Congratulations 16 years in business together you met in university and you know most of us were out at a bar during university, you guys were cooking up a business, that is completely successful right now.
We were making the jewellery and getting up at the crack of dawn. That is incredible, so from Canada and I’m just wondering how do you two keep it together, you’re best friends, do you have disputes within your business or do you just have a way of solving things without things getting ugly. Well you know what it's interesting because we met with a kind of a shared interest in jewellery so our first interaction was actually jewellery and we went around university and we would kind of introduce each other as, this was my business partner and then we became roommates and our friendship kind of grew from there.
That's beautiful, we're going to talk a little bit today about finding the right necklace for your neckline. We all have a different neckline, you know depending on what your item of clothing is as well, it's going to make a difference which necklace you should choose. Exactly, and a lot of us are really guilty of trying on three or four necklaces before we really settle on the right one and figure it out, and that's because the placement of a necklace is really important and can make or break your look. You don't want to be fishing out your necklace from your outfit and you want to have it place properly along the lines of a silhouette of what you're wearing, so there's some guidelines to think about when you're shopping for the perfect piece.
Very nice, okay hopefully at some point today we'll learn how to make it not do this. The booby cop like it just automatically to cup a boob. I don't know what that's let's talk about this for silhouette and if you're if you've got a v-neck which is very flattering, what you should go with. Yeah exactly the V-neck is very flattering and you can either go with a short or a long option both really work well, we pick kind of a shorter v style necklace that mimics the shape of the V-neck, which is great and just simple and subtle and then a longer style necklace. I also have a bit has a bit of a geometric pattern in it but it's just super simple and what's huge in jewellery right now is the layered look, and you don't have to have a science background to figure it out, it's really simple, you just stick with a short and a longer necklace.
We picked two gold but it can be multi toned as well, very nice I find the thing that's really flattering about a long necklace as well as it lengthens you. Yes so sometimes when you want to look longer it's nice to put on a longer necklace. Okay let's move over to our next look here. We have yeah this is the scoop neck, yeah so the neckline here is quite low and a lot of people might shy away from wearing something like that because it does leave a lot of, you know, your neckline exposed but fear not because you can fill that up with a wonderful necklace, that again mimics the silhouette and curves along with it and it is important though that you place it right in that centre area, so that it works with it and the neat thing about this necklace is if you decide that with this neckline you want to wear maybe a scarf one day, it also turns into a bracelet.
So it has a magnetic closure, it is quite fantastic because it's again like Suzy was saying you don't have to have some kind of crazy background in jewellery intelligence to know how to wear it. That is beautiful and i do like the clasp. One thing you wouldn't want to do in this kind of neckline i guess is get a necklace that's fighting the scoop. That just gets too distracting and you're gonna notice it just doesn't look right. Especially if it hung right over, that's what you really want to avoid, is like that would be a pitfall when you're working on your neckline and pairing with your accessories is you want to make sure it doesn't get anywhere close where it could fall in. Yeah and then out popping out throughout the day, yes and it goes into no-man's land, you don't want it there, get out. Okay let's go to the last one now this is probably my favourite i just love the way this necklace looks what do you call that neckline? This is like a high this is a crew neckline and it's a great canvas actually for any necklace, it really does you know it's a great opportunity to have a statement necklace, something that really pops.
So we chose this style and this is actually bronze plating which is great kind of going into fall with all the neutrals and brown coming into fashion. Again it's got a bit of a tribal look to it which is staying huge and jewelry and fashion in general. Very nice, i love it, so different varieties but also always be aware of the rule when it comes to your neckline and things are going to look great, congratulations to you both. And thank you so much for this everyone in today's audience will take home a pair of handcrafted clover earrings from fox here.
